The effects continue even 15 years after the introduction of the NMR pipe protector.

Verification of the rust prevention effect of apartment water supply pipes: Introduction of a case study after more than 15 years of implementing the rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" inside the piping!

In August 2001, we introduced the "NMR Pipe Protector" to the Co-op Nomura Minami Ishikiri condominium in Wakabayashi Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. After 15 years, an investigation into the deterioration of the piping was conducted. The investigation involved removing the water supply pipes on the secondary side of the elevated water tank and inside the residences, as well as the drainage pipes. It was evaluated that "there was almost no red rust due to internal deterioration of the water supply pipes, and there were no blockages; it was confirmed that the surface had turned black and that pipe rehabilitation had been carried out." The condominium's maintenance director stated during an interview, "Not only the water supply pipes but also the drainage pipes have been extended in their lifespan, and there are no plans for updates in the long-term repair plan." He added, "As the building ages, it will only become more financially challenging in the future, so the benefits of not having to update the water supply pipes are immeasurable." *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

NMR pipe protector adopted by Buckingham Palace in the UK for preventing pipe rust.

The NMR pipe protector has been proven effective in preventing red rust on the air conditioning and hot water pipes at Buckingham Palace and has been adopted.

On January 12, 2007, in one of the six pump rooms located within Buckingham Palace, only one pump room supplying Her Majesty's room was equipped with an "NMR Pipe Protector" for the air conditioning hot water piping and the hot water supply piping. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron ion concentration in the circulating hot water of the air conditioning hot water piping for Her Majesty's room was measured at 16.6 mg/L, indicating a high level of iron ions and a significant presence of red rust within the piping. Subsequently, 24 days after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron concentration in the hot water of the air conditioning hot water piping decreased to 0.455 mg/L. The piping was completely protected from red rust by the NMR Pipe Protector, extending the lifespan of the piping, which has been greatly appreciated by those associated with Buckingham Palace for security reasons. *Customer testimonials (customer recommendations) and other PDF materials are currently available for free! *Please feel free to contact us first.

How can the lifespan of water supply pipes and air conditioning chilled and hot water pipes be extended to match the lifespan of the building?

It is possible to convert red rust to black rust without direct contact with the water inside the pipes, preventing red rust and leaks! The red rust prevention device for pipes, "NMR Pipe Protector."

To extend the lifespan of existing piping until the lifespan of the building, if the red rust that occurs inside the piping is converted to black rust without being flushed away, the lifespan of the piping can be prolonged to match that of the building. When extending the lifespan of piping, methods such as cleaning the piping or sandblasting to remove red rust can damage the interior of the piping, reducing its strength. With our internal red rust prevention device, the 'NMR Pipe Protector,' it is possible to convert red rust to black rust without direct contact with the water inside the piping. By utilizing NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance), it is possible to prevent the deterioration of red rust inside the piping and also to rehabilitate and strengthen the piping. It is suitable for preventing red rust in water supply piping (vinyl-lined steel pipes) and air conditioning hot and cold water piping (galvanized steel pipes), as well as for rehabilitating and strengthening piping. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Pipe rust prevention: The British Museum introduces NMR Pipe Protector.

The British Museum prevents red rust in the air conditioning hot water pipes with the red rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" and verifies the effectiveness of extending the lifespan of the pipes.

The British Museum has undergone multiple renovations over the years, but the building is over 264 years old. It is an important museum that needs to continue to exist in the future, but the issue of building deterioration cannot be avoided. One of those issues was the concern of leaks due to the deterioration of the heating hot water piping caused by red rust. In March 2016, we verified whether the 'NMR Pipe Protector' is truly an effective measure against red rust in piping by installing one unit on the air conditioning hot water piping and conducting tests on the iron content in the same circulating hot water before and after installation. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content in the water was very high due to red rust. Three weeks after installation, it measured 3.44 mg/L, and five weeks after installation, it dropped significantly to 0.2 mg/L, proving the effectiveness of red rust prevention as it matched the drinking water standard of 0.2 mg/L. It has been recognized that if the NMR Pipe Protector continues to be used, the lifespan of the piping can be extended to match the lifespan of the building. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

To prevent pipe rust, the London City Hall has introduced NMR pipe protectors.

The London City Hall used the rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" to convert red rust in the hot water supply pipes to black rust, verifying the effectiveness of preventing red rust and extending the lifespan of the pipes.

The "NMR Pipe Protector" has garnered attention worldwide for its ability to solve the problem of red rust. Every morning, red water would come out from the hot water pipes at Guildhall, London. When we measured the iron content in the water, it was found to be 6.36 mg per liter, indicating significant red rust, which is considerably higher than the water quality standard of 0.2 mg per liter based on UK water regulations. Three weeks after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content in the water was measured at 0.015 mg per liter. This is 1/400 of the iron content before installation, and when measured seven weeks after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, it further decreased to 0.007 mg per liter, which is less than half of the value three weeks prior, proving that the red rust had transformed into insoluble black rust in the water. As a result of the drastic reduction in iron content, the red water was eliminated. The existing red rust was reduced to black rust, which strengthened the piping. As long as the building continues to exist, the piping can continue to be used. Since the red rust problem in the hot water pipes at Guildhall, London has been resolved, a letter of recommendation was issued. *We are currently offering free PDF materials such as customer testimonials (customer recommendation letters)!

Pipe rust prevention, Buckingham Palace in the UK has introduced NMR pipe protectors.

The red rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" has protected the air conditioning and hot water piping in the area used by Her Majesty, where it is impossible to update the piping due to safety concerns, from deterioration caused by red rust.

At that time, Buckingham Palace was using galvanized steel pipes for air conditioning hot water piping and hot water supply piping, but due to deterioration from red rust, partial updates to the piping were being carried out in areas outside of Her Majesty's usage. The circulating hot water in these pipes installed for Queen Elizabeth's room had been reddish-brown due to red rust since it was first used. Therefore, to make this reddish-brown water clear and to prevent red rust, as well as to extend the life of the piping, the 'NMR Pipe Protector' was introduced. In the hot water supply piping, the level was reduced from 2.8 mg/L before installation to below 0.018 mg/L, which is less than 1/100, after 24 days, demonstrating the effectiveness of red rust prevention. Additionally, the color of the water became clear, and the NMR Pipe Protector fully exhibited its high performance in preventing red rust. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Pipe rust prevention, a UK five-star hotel has introduced NMR pipe protectors.

The red rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" prevents red rust in air conditioning pipes, prevents leaks, and extends the lifespan of the pipes by 40 years.

At the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair, urgent measures were needed to address corrosion due to red rust in the air conditioning hot water piping. The chosen solution was the 'NMR Pipe Protector', which can be implemented at less than one-tenth the cost and has a low environmental impact while preventing red rust early on. Before installation, the iron content in the circulating water of the air conditioning hot water piping showed a very high value of 15.70 mg/l due to the progression of red rust deterioration and leaching. After re-examination six weeks post-installation, the iron content decreased to 0.16 mg/l, demonstrating that the amount of iron leached into the water reduced to about one-hundredth compared to before installation, confirming the effectiveness of red rust prevention. Thus, the water quality of the circulating water in the air conditioning hot water piping recovered to a completely acceptable level. One of the significant reasons for choosing the NMR Pipe Protector is that it is a very eco-friendly red rust prevention device. It can rehabilitate old piping that has been in use for many years, extending the lifespan of the building. Replacing the piping would result in significant CO2 emissions due to the disposal of the old pipes, so the NMR Pipe Protector, which allows for the continued use of old piping, has a very low environmental impact. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Pipe rust prevention: City, University of London introduces NMR Pipe Protector.

The red rust prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" can be installed externally on pipes without the need for water outage work.

In 2013, the "NMR Pipe Protector" was adopted at City, University of London, a prestigious university in the UK. The air conditioning hot water pipes used SGP (galvanized steel pipes), which led to issues such as brown water due to the leaching of red rust and leaks from pipe joints, necessitating urgent measures to address the deterioration of red rust in the pipes. After the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the progression of red rust completely stopped within just two weeks. The iron content in the circulating water within the pipes, which was 3.41 mg/l before the introduction of the NMR Pipe Protector, remarkably decreased to 0.08 mg/l. Theoretically, over 75% of the existing red rust was reduced to black rust by the NMR Pipe Protector. This confirmed the effectiveness of red rust prevention. The black rust formed by the NMR Pipe Protector protects the iron from red rust corrosion, and since black rust has a volume that is one-tenth that of red rust, it strengthens the pipe's durability. Thanks to the rust prevention effect of the NMR Pipe Protector, the air conditioning hot water pipes at City, University of London can now be used for over 40 years. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

Reduce the maintenance costs for air conditioning chilled and hot water piping in libraries, museums, etc., to one-tenth or less.

NMR Pipe Protector, a piping rehabilitation device that prevents leaks by preventing red rust in the chilled and hot water piping of cultural centers, libraries, and museums, reducing maintenance costs to less than one-tenth.

Art museums, museums, cultural centers, libraries, and other places frequently visited by the general public and tourists use energy-efficient warm-type central air conditioning. The chilled water piping for this air conditioning is made of galvanized steel pipes (SGP pipes), which, after more than 20 years of construction, undergoes red rust deterioration. When the threads at the piping joints fall off due to red rust deterioration, leaks can occur from these weakened areas during earthquakes and other events. Additionally, red rust deterioration inside the pipes can lead to problems such as reduced heating and cooling efficiency and premature failure of the heat source equipment. The solution to this issue of red rust deterioration inside the pipes is the pipe rehabilitation device NMR Pipe Protector.

It has also been adopted by City, University of London!

Extending the lifespan of piping! Case study of the "NMR Pipe Protector" at City, University of London.

City, University of London is one of the famous universities located in North London, and it uses SGP for its air conditioning hot water piping. The piping in buildings over 40 years old was experiencing red rust corrosion. To completely protect the piping from red rust corrosion, NMR pipe protectors were installed. Before installation, the iron content in the water due to red rust was 3.407 mg/l, but two weeks after installation, the iron content decreased to 0.084 mg/l. This demonstrated that the NMR pipe protectors prevented the occurrence of new red rust in the piping and reduced existing red rust to inert black rust. With the conversion of red rust to black rust, the piping was completely protected from red rust corrosion, allowing the air conditioning hot water piping to be usable for over 40 years. ▼For more details, please see the related link▼

Prevention of red rust and water leakage in the hot water piping of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the UK.

Case study of introducing NMR pipe protectors for preventing red rust and extending the lifespan of hotel hot water piping.

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel is an elegant five-star hotel located in London. Due to the occurrence of red rust corrosion issues and concerns about leaks in the hot water supply piping (SGP) of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, two units of the red rust prevention and leak prevention device "NMR Pipe Protector" PT-75DS were installed at the header section of the circulating hot water piping. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content in the water within the hot water piping was 13.35 mg/l, indicating significant progression of red rust corrosion. Four weeks after installation, the iron content in the hot water within the piping decreased to 0.0043 mg/l, and further decreased to less than 0.004 mg/l five weeks after installation. This demonstrated that the progression of red rust within the hot water piping was completely halted by the NMR Pipe Protector, and the existing red rust transformed into insoluble black rust in a volume reduced to one-tenth. It has been verified that if the Mandarin Oriental Hotel continues to use the NMR Pipe Protector, all red rust in the hot water piping will change to black rust, and the cost will be less than one-fifth of the cost of pipe replacement work, allowing the piping to be extended for the lifespan of the building. Naturally, leaks will be completely prevented thereafter.

Solving the red rust and leakage issues in the water supply and hot water piping at the Marriott Hotel in the UK.

Case studies of introducing NMR pipe protectors for preventing red rust and extending the lifespan of hotel water supply and hot water piping.

The Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel, part of the world's largest five-star hotel chain, the Marriott Group, was built in 1878 and has 160 rooms. Due to the use of galvanized steel pipes for hot water and water supply plumbing, very high iron levels were detected before the installation of the NMR pipe protector, with 6 mg/l from the hot water pipes and 3.46 mg/l from the water supply pipes. The deterioration of red rust in the pipes, including red water, was serious, raising concerns about future leaks. To eliminate red water from the water supply and hot water pipes, prevent red rust deterioration, and extend the life of the plumbing, NMR pipe protectors were installed in both the water supply and hot water pipes. Thirteen days after installation, the hot water and water supply samples taken first thing in the morning (stagnant water from overnight) were both clear, and the iron levels in the water had dropped to 0.007 mg/l, completely eliminating red water. The reduction in iron levels prevented the formation of new red rust, and it was demonstrated that the existing red rust in the pipes had transformed into a non-soluble volume of 1/10 of inert black rust. As a result, the formation of new red rust in the pipes was prevented, and the transformation of existing red rust into black rust confirmed the effectiveness of the NMR pipe protector in preventing red rust and extending the life of the plumbing.

Solving the red rust and leakage issues of the air conditioning hot and cold water piping at the Millennium Hotel in the UK.

Case study of introducing NMR pipe protectors for preventing red rust and extending the lifespan of hotel water supply piping.

The Millennium Hotel London Mayfair is a historic building located in the heart of London, overlooking Grosvenor Square, which was once the residence of the Duchess of Kendal in the 18th century. To address issues of red rust and leakage in the air conditioning hot water piping, the "NMR Pipe Protector," a rust prevention and pipe longevity device that does not require pipe removal or water shutdown during installation, was installed. Before the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the iron content in the air conditioning hot water piping due to red rust was very high at 15.7 mg/l, indicating significant red rust deterioration and concerns about leakage. To prevent this red rust and leakage, the "NMR Pipe Protector" was introduced. Six weeks after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, the test results of the air conditioning hot water showed that the iron content in the water had significantly decreased to 0.157 mg/l, completely preventing new red rust in the air conditioning hot and cold water piping, and it was proven that the existing red rust had transformed into black rust, which is insoluble in water and has a volume one-tenth that of red rust. If the NMR Pipe Protector continues to be used, it has been demonstrated that all red rust in the piping will transform into black rust, preventing external corrosion and leakage, thereby extending the lifespan of the building.

[NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Major Automobile Manufacturer Factory in Fukuoka Prefecture

The amount of black rust increased significantly from 4% to 43.6%! A case where line stoppage was completely prevented.

In August 1998, an "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed in the cooling water circulation piping of the welding robot cooling line located within a major automobile manufacturer's factory in Fukuoka Prefecture to prevent red rust scale. Before installation, red rust from the cooling water piping would leach out, entering the narrow cooling tubes of the body welding robots, causing blockages that resulted in the welding robots stopping, which took over 15 minutes to recover. Nine months after installation, the cooling water piping was inspected, and compared to the amount of black rust in the red rust before installation, it significantly increased from 4% to 43.6%. Additionally, line stoppages were completely prevented. [Challenges] - Red rust leaching from the internal cooling water piping - Entry into the narrow cooling tubes of the body welding robots, causing blockages - Recovery from welding robot stoppages taking over 15 minutes - Damage costs exceeding 6 million yen per incident *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
